An additional way to check in

Peekami lets you use existing devices to look in on your home. The available features depend on the app version, the operating system, your permissions and the devices you use.

Supervision and safety

Peekami does not replace personal supervision, care or any medical monitoring that may be required. The app is not intended as a medical monitoring device, emergency call system or alarm system. Do not rely solely on the stream or on sound alerts when it comes to babies, children or people in need of care.

Video, audio and notifications can be delayed or fail. Loss of connection, an empty battery, a locked device or power-saving features can interrupt the camera. Check the connection regularly and ensure appropriate care independently of the app.

Use cameras considerately

Point the camera only at areas you are legally allowed to observe. Inform the people affected about the stream and clarify the required legal basis and, where necessary, consent in advance. Never secretly stream private conversations or images of other people. Shared areas, neighbouring properties and public spaces require a separate assessment.

Share pairing codes and access only with people who are allowed to see and hear the camera area. End connections you no longer need.

Set up devices properly

Place the camera device on a stable surface, keep ventilation openings clear and follow the device manufacturer’s instructions. Keep the device and charging cable out of reach of babies, children and animals. For longer sessions, power supply, network and the device’s wake state must be set up reliably.
