WHY PEEKAMI
Peekami turns what you already have into a pet camera. No account, no cloud archive, no new hardware.
Old phone, tablet, Mac or PC: any device with a camera becomes a pet camera. No new hardware.
No email, no password. Two devices, one pairing code, done.
Video and audio travel encrypted from device to device. Peekami does not create a video archive.
The camera device detects loud sounds and motion locally and can notify you. You set the sensitivity yourself.
Sound, motion, offline: you see when something happened and for how long. No clips, just the events. 24 hours for free, 30 days with Plus.
With Plus, your partner or family can watch at the same time. You remove each access individually.
SET UP IN THREE STEPS

AN HONEST COMPARISON
A hardware camera has its advantages. So does Peekami. Here’s where the difference lies.
| Feature | Peekami | Typical hardware camera |
|---|---|---|
| Buy new hardware | No, a device you already own is enough | Yes, another device in your home |
| Create an account | Not needed | Usually required |
| Video in the cloud | No archive, live only | Common, often with a subscription |
| iPhone, Android, Mac and Windows | Mix and match | Only with the manufacturer’s app |
| Two-way talk | Yes, with a button | Depends on the model |
| Runs without the app open | No, the camera app stays open | Yes, continuously |

GOOD TO KNOW
Answers about devices, setup and everyday use.
No. Use a phone, tablet or laptop you already own with a camera and microphone. A second device becomes your screen on the go. Both need Peekami and an internet connection.
Peekami connects iOS, Android, macOS and Windows devices. You choose which device is the camera and which one you watch on. Pair using a code or, on supported devices, a QR scan.
Yes. Both devices just need an internet connection. Peekami tries a direct connection first; if that doesn’t work, a relay passes the encrypted data along.
Yes. Keep Peekami open and the camera device awake. Plug it into a charger for longer sessions. Locking, power-saving features or closing a laptop lid can interrupt the camera.
One device watches for free. With Peekami Plus, up to two viewers can access one camera at the same time, for example you and your partner. You can remove each access individually in the app.
Checking in briefly is free: live video, audio, two-way talk and alerts, with one viewer and sessions of up to 10 minutes at a time. Peekami Plus costs a one-time €14.69 per household and adds sessions without the 10-minute limit, two viewers, background audio, motion detection and 30 days of history. For a limited period there is the Monthly Pass for €1.69, which simply expires.
Yes. Peekami Plus belongs to your paired devices, not to a store. Buy it once and it works on iPhone, Android, Mac and Windows – even if you replace a device later. Buy it on any device in your pairing; the others are unlocked automatically.
Sound and motion detection run on the camera device as long as Peekami is open there. Whether an alert reaches your viewer device depends on the device, the system and your notification settings. On Windows, Peekami must be open for this.
Peekami encrypts video and audio in transit and does not create a video or audio archive. Your devices are explicitly paired with each other. You can remove a pairing in the app.
German, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese (Brazil), Dutch and Polish, in the app and on this website.
Both. Peekami turns a phone, tablet or laptop you already own into a pet camera. You see live what your dog or cat is doing, listen in and can talk through the camera device. Loud sounds are detected locally on the camera device; there is no animal recognition.
Peekami can give you an extra look into the nursery, with live video, audio and sound alerts. It does not replace personal supervision and is not a medical monitoring or emergency system. Video, audio and notifications can fail. Always keep devices and cables out of the reach of children and animals.
Yes, for your own home. A phone with a camera, microphone and the current Peekami app becomes a camera for your flat, house or garden. Point the camera only at areas you are allowed to watch and inform people who may appear in it. See the usage notes for details.
