How the phone becomes a camera.
No new device needed
Peekami runs on iPhone and iPad from iOS or iPadOS 15, on Android from version 7 with Google Play, on Mac from macOS 12 and on Windows 10 or 11. If the device still gets updates and its camera and microphone work, that’s enough.
Paired with a code
The camera device shows a code that you enter on the other device or scan as a QR code. You don’t need an account or an email address.
On a charger, set up securely
On the camera device Peekami stays open and the device stays awake. For longer sessions, plug it into a charger and set it up securely.
You need two devices. One of them is probably in a drawer.

Install Peekami on both devices. You don’t need an account or even an email address.
Pair
The camera device shows a code. Type it in on the other device or scan the QR code.
Set it down
Put the camera device where it can see the favourite spot. Plug in the charger, leave the app open. That’s it.

Can I use an old phone as a camera?
Yes, if it still gets current system updates and its camera and microphone work. Install Peekami on the old phone and a second device, pair them with a code and set the old phone up as the camera.
How long does an old phone last as a camera?
That depends on the device. Continuous streaming uses data and battery, so the camera device belongs on a charger. Locking the screen, power saving or an empty battery interrupt the camera.
Is this a surveillance camera or an alarm system?
No. Peekami is an extra way to check in, not an alarm system. Video, audio and alerts can be delayed or fail.
Which devices can I use?
Peekami is available for iPhone, iPad, Android, Mac and Windows. You pair using a shared code, and you decide which device films and which one watches.
